Diagnosis. Males resembles to those of Althepus suhartoi Deeleman-Reinhold, 1985 in having similarly shaped conductor and embolus in male palp but can be distinguished by the slice-shaped distal part of the conductor and long and sharpen embolus (Figs 1 A – D). Females can be distinguished from those of A. suhartoi by the unswollen spermathecae (Fig. 2 E; swollen spermathecae in A. suhartoi).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Chinese pinyin ' duǎn', which means ' short', referring to the short transparent copulatory ducts; noun in apposition.
Type material. Holotype: Male (IZCAS), Thailand, Kanchanaburi Province, Sai Yok District, Wang Krachae Subdistrict, a cave without name, 14 ° 12.127 ' N, 99 ° 01.195 ' E, altitude 438 m, 0 1 November 2014. Paratypes: 1 female and 1 male, same data as holotype (IZCAS).
