etymology
Etymology. From barys (Gr. = heavy) + ilium (L. = flank). In recognition of the massive (and heavy) build of the holotype ilium and associated skeletal remains attributed to this taxon. Type and only species. Barilium dawsoni (Lydekker, 1888 a).
