Floresina Revets 1990
Genus Floresina Revets 1990
Floresina paralleliformis (McCulloch) = Buliminella parallelliformis McCulloch 1977, p. 241, pl. 103, fig. 26 [Plate 2, Figs. 20, 21, Plate 6, Figs. 14, 15]. Revets (1990), p. 160, pl. 1, figs. 7–9. Note: this species has only been recorded in the Pacific Ocean to date. A similar species, Floresina amphiphaga, has been described as predatory on reefdwelling Amphistegina gibbosa in Florida (Hallock & Talge 1994). Floresina amphiphaga differs from Floresina paralleliformis in being stout, costate and showing more numerous grooves on the apertural face.
