(Figs 8 c – d, 9 e – h) Characterization. Wingspan ranges from 11.77 cm, the length of the forewing range from 5.33 cm, and the hindwing range from 2.99 cm. Head: brownish, median dark band, brown palpi with the white distal region. Thorax: brownish, tegulae in dark brown triangular shape, dark brown median band. Forewing: dorsal view: slightly striated, discal bar with well-defined margins, leaving the base and extending to the half of the wing; disc band modified in two wavy dark brown discal stripes coming from the outer margin next to the discal spot, brownish “ Y ” spot coming out of the costal margin diagonally to the outer margin separating the darker apical margin; presence of three dark spots in the post-discal area and close to the “ Y ” spot; subapical patch in the form of an inverted trapezoid of dark brown color followed by three points that goes to the “ Y ” spot; triangular spot on the inner margin without contour, submarginal strip almost imperceptible, ventral view: predominantly light brown, spot varying from light brown to beige, not uniform, that goes from the apex passing through the external margin and ending at the encounter with the internal margin, has a triangular projection towards the submarginal area in the middle of the external margin followed by smaller undulations and two striations that go from the internal margin to the costal margin dividing the post-discal area from the submarginal area. Hindwing: in the dorsal view: discal spot extends to the apical area, outer margin with the lighter region having two dark points, ventral view: predominantly brown, with a greenish spot that extends from the base, passing through the inner margin ending at the anal angle, two striations that go from the inner margin to the costal margin, one separating the discal area from the post-discal area and the other separating the post-discal area from the submarginal area. Abdomen: in the dorsal view, covered predominantly with brown scales, the first segment with a dark spot, and other segments with a pair of darker spots in the shape of an inverted triangle; in the ventral view, it is covered predominantly with light brown scales. Male genitalia: Uncus single sickle-shaped. Valva, equal in width, with a apex rounded. Sacculus, measuring approximately half the size of the valva, with a slightly rounded base. Saccular Process, with a slight external projection in the middle of the process. Sac, with projection and elongated oval shape. The aedeagus, uniform tubular shape, with pointed projection at the apex.
diagnosis
Diagnosis. Habitus. similar to E. analis and Eumorpha aff. analis (b) (Figs 8 c – e). It differs from the genitalia of E. analis in having an external projection near the middle of the saccular process and an elongated sac. In Eumorpha aff. analis (b) the main difference is that in Eumorpha aff. analis (a) the projection is more sinuous than in Eumorpha aff. analis (b) (Figs 9 g, k, o).
