Lactobacillus melliventris (mel. li. ven‘tris. L. neut. n. mel, mellis honey; L. masc. n. venter, - tris belly, stomach; N. L. gen. n. melliventris of the honey stomach, referring to the isolation of the first strains from the honey stomach of honeybees). Lactobacillus melliventris grows from 15 to 50 ° C.
