Type species. — Tibicen (Nelcynda) tener Stål 1870: 716. (Philippine Islands) Remarks. — The classification of the Madagascar species within the genus is questionable. Duffels (2010) showed the past concept of the genus was composed of a number of distinct genera primarily from eastern Asia. The inclusion of the Madagascar species could not be confirmed due to the COVID- 19 pandemic limiting the ability to find a male for comparison. The holotype of the Madagascar specimen is a female (Distant 1905 d) so a determination of its generic position from that specimen would not be possible. Distribution. — The genus is primarily found in Borneo, the Philippines, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia with the single species from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963 b; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013).
