discussion
Remarks. The first species of Turbicellepora to be recorded in the coastal waters of the Faroe Islands was Turbicellepora avicularis (Hincks, 1860) (Nordgaard 1907; Kramp 1934). This was followed by Turbicellepora nodulosa (LorenZ, 1886), from the shallow sublittoral of the Faroe shelf (BIOFAR program, 1986 ‒ 1989, BIOFAR database, unpublished data) (Denisenko et al. 2016). A third species, Turbicellepora boreale Hayward & Hansen, 1999, from the shallow sublittoral ‒ upper bathyal, was described following re-examination of some BIOFAR samples and the collection of the Natural History Museum, London (Hayward & Hansen 1999). The new species described here was also found in the BIOFAR samples.
