diagnostic
Transparent body with white tint. Visceral nucleus marked by red-violet color. Lateral and posterior gills both present. Posterior gill is quadrangular with two dorsal and two ventral rays. Lateral fill encircles almost entire body. Small head and wings. Tricuspoid median plate with subequal cusps. Jaw hooks and spines are slender and straight. [van der Spoel, 1976]
