This workshop was organized by the Ghana Node (GhaBIF) of the Blobal Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) with funding from the GBIF/BID programme. It was held in connection with the BID project Capacity enhancement for the Ghana node of GBIF.

Some of the institutions that attended were partners to GhaBIF as signatories of the memorandum of understanding to share biodiversity data they already hold.
