R: a language and environment for statistical computing

R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It can be used to generate species distribution models using as a base data such as those made available through GBIF.

R is a system for statistical computation and graphics. It consists of a language plus a
run-time environment with graphics, a debugger, access to certain system functions, and
the ability to run programs stored in script files. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS.
