Wangari Maathai Institute, which is an institute of UoN focuses on interdisciplinary training, research and community outreach for sustainable environmental and cultures of peace. Good governance of resources is only possible with availability of data for decision making such as biological information that helps to make the right policy, management decision that foster species survival. This is only possible by working with all departments at UON and thus promote interdisciplinary studies. WMI was established in order to honor the walks and works of Nobel Laureate Prof Wangari Maathai whos work on environmental conservation, peace and governance is globally recognized.Contacts
