Description

The Zoology Museum at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (QCAZ) is an organization dedicated to scientific research and training researchers in the areas of Evolution, Ecology, Biogeography, Conservation and Genetics. The research is based on the zoological collections composed of more than two million specimens, one of the largest collections in Ecuador. The collections include one of the largest animal genomic banks in Latin America (40000 tissues stored in ultrafreezers). The QCAZ Museum is a member of the Global Genome Biodiversity Network.
