HerpWatch Pilipinas, Inc. is a non-stock and non-profit professional organization (SEC registration no.: CN201621210) incorporated with the primary purpose to deepen our understanding of the biology, systematics, biogeography, natural history and ecology, as well as that of conservation, best practice husbandry and sustainable use of Philippine indigenous amphibians and reptiles and their habitat through the development and implementation of herpetological research and education programs. Specifically, HerpWatch Pilipinas, Inc. aims to bring together scientists, enthusiasts and other individuals who share the same interest and passion for herpetology, specifically focusing on Philippine indigenous amphibians and reptiles and their habitat, and, subsequently, stimulate scientific knowledge and discussions on contemporary issues through meetings, seminars, symposiums and conferences; to work closely with government, academic and scientific institutions and organizations in the common pursuit of furthering Philippine herpetological research and education programs and in assessments of conservation status of Philippine indigenous amphibians and reptiles and their habitat; to conduct in situ - ex situ herpetological studies, specifically focusing on Philippine indigenous amphibians and reptiles and their habitat, and to publish results and scientific data in the form of scientific and popular articles, books and field guides; and to promote the rich herpetofauna and overall biodiversity of the Philippines through the conduct of herpwatching tours.
