Description

Costa Humboldt is a marine conservation organization, created with the vision of protecting the wellbeing of ecosystems and ensuring the integrity of marine biodiversity in Chile. Since it was established in 2013, our organization has contributed to implement novel approaches for marine conservation in the country. Working with local communities, universities, international and national organizations, and government, we have built a strong link among society and science oriented to improve management of marine and coastal ecosystems in Chile. Costa Humboldt is providing a platform whose main function is to bring science to society through research and marine education through participatory conservation interventions. Our mission is to contribute to the development of new practices designed to ensure the welfare, protection, preservation, conservation and management of marine ecosystems in Chile.
