Description

Station Linné is an interdisciplinary research and education station open to all who study (whether directly or indirectly) our connections to man’s sustainable use of the landscape in the past, now and in the future. Station Linné has thus scientific roots but is also connected to technology, social sciences and human sciences. The ambition is to create increased knowledge of local and regional ecosystems with links to culture, diversity, environment and sustainable development in all forms. Thus, Station Linné will prioritize scientific quality and measures that promote the site's role as a meeting place between researchers and students from different disciplines, levels and generations. Station Linné is run by a private trust with ties to Swedish and international universities, researchers, authorities, organizations and the local community. Research is the assurance quality of the organization that provides support and a platform for popular science activities and meetings with schools, the general public and associations.
