Herbarium Hazara University Pakistan

Description

Herbarium Hazara University (HUP) was established in 2005 as an integral part of botanical research. Currently herbarium holds more than 20,000 preserved specimens with considerable representation from Himalayas, Hindu Kush and Karakorum ranges. Herbarium is actively involved in the documentation of threatened plant species especially endemic plants of Pakistan. In 2021 herbarium has started digitization of it's specimens through Openherbarium plate form. Dr. Mary Barkworth is actively engaged in digitization of HUP.
