Yayasan Konservasi Khatulistiwa Indonesia (YASIWA) is a charitable not-for-profit foundation launched in June 2012. YASIWA's vision is to maintain biodiversity within mixed-use landscapes. YASIWA's mission is to: 1. Promote understanding of ecologies that are strongly evidence-based and can serve as a base to develop strategies for Conservation management of species outside protected areas. 2. Support and work together with local communities, individual scientists, scientific institutions, government bodies and companies to gather different aspects and knowledge on how to manage mixed-use landscapes. 3. Support the development of education sources and practical conservation training for local communities, companies and other parties who are concerned with the environment.
