Lord Fairfax Community College Herbarium (LFCC)

Description

The LFCC herbarium, founded by Lord Fairfax Community College Professor Robert Simpson in 1974 and originally located in Middletown, Virginia, was transferred to the George Mason University herbarium (GMUF) in Fairfax, Virginia in 2019. The herbarium contains approximately 20,000 specimens of vascular plants collected from northwest Virginia, elsewhere in the US and internationally.
