Society for Taiwan Amphibian conservation

GBIF publisher since
2 February 2021

Description

In recent years, biodiversity has rapidly disappeared, and public awareness of conservation has risen. With the growth of citizen scientists, since 2002, many enthusiastic people have helped to participate in amphibian surveys. Since 2007, through the establishment of Taiwanese amphibian conservation volunteers, a large-scale systematic survey has been launched. In order to strengthen the power of ecological conservation of amphibians and improve the efficiency of environmental education, volunteers from all over Taiwan have called for the establishment of the Taiwan Amphibian Conservation Association. It is hoped that through the connection of the association, the investigation, monitoring and environmental education of amphibians will be well organized, attract more people to participate, and jointly maintain the sustainability of amphibians and biodiversity.
