Description
This collection is housed in the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum on the campus of Brigham Young University. It consists of approximately three million specimens. Strengths are with Coleoptera, Plecoptera, Siphonaptera, and Diptera. Other groups are also represented, although not so abundantly. The tissue collection, used for DNA sequencing, is outstanding and consists of material in high-concentration ethanol and stored at very low temperature. Geographically, the collection is worldwide in coverage, but there is especially good representation from western North America.Contacts
