Description

The most important tasks of the INEP KSC RAS collection are its preservation, maintenance and development for documenting the diversity of plants, lichens, fungi and microorganisms of the Murmansk region and adjacent territories, creating an easily accessible base for inventory and rational use of biological resources, and monitoring the environment for many years. The collection has an important educational and scientific-educational significance. Currently collection includes samples of vascular plants, fungi, bryophytes, lichens and diatoms, cultures of microscopic fungi, bacteria, microalgae and cyanobacteria of the Euro-Arctic region.
