(ES) El Museo de Ciencias Naturales "P. Antonio Scasso" es una institución dedicada al conocimiento, difusión y conservación del patrimonio regional a través de actividades de investigación, educación, difusión y apoyo a la gestión de la biodiversidad y sus manifestaciones culturales. Posee colecciones diversas de fauna de Vertebrados e Invertebrados, Arqueología y Paleontología. En particular, alberga una colección regional de peces de aguas continentales, integrada principalmente por ejemplares colectados en la porción inferior de la cuenca del Río de la Plata. Por otra parte, sostiene una base de datos de distribución geográfica de peces de aguas continentales de Argentina, disponible en línea. (EN) The Museum of Natural Sciences "P. Antonio Scasso" is an institution dedicated to the knowledge, dissemination and conservation of the regional heritage through activities of research, education, broadcasting and support to the management of the biodiversity and their cultural manifestations. It has diverse collections, including vertebrates and invertebrates, archaeology and paleontology. In particular, it keeps a regional collection of fish from inland waters, mainly composed of specimens collected in the lower portion of the Río de la Plata basin. On the other hand, it maintains a database of geographical distribution of fish in inland waters of Argentina, available online.
