George Mason University Herbarium (GMUF)

Description

GMUF is an active research herbarium that was established in 1967 at George Mason University. Its holdings include ca. 60,000 vascular plant, lichen, and lichenicolous fungi specimens collected in Virginia, the US and internationally. High-resolution images of its plant specimens and their meta data are distributed publicly through the SERNEC TCN portal and iDigBio. Metadata of its lichen and lichenicolous fungi specimens are distributed though the Consortium of North American Lichen Herbaria and iDigBio
