Wildlife Action Group is a Malawian-registered non-profit, non-government organisation. We are a small, focused and responsive conservation team that over the years has worked hard to protect, preserve and restore two forest reserves and the wildlife that lives there. Our work to date is showing, through careful monitoring, a proven, significant improvement on conservation impact on the ground, wildlife numbers are increasing. ACTUAL ACTIVITIES  Protecting and Restoring Wild Spaces  Monitoring, of flora, fauna and illegal activities  Prevention of poaching with a dedicated anti-poaching team  Research into the social impact of poaching, arrests, effective HEC mitigation, wildlife movements and behaviours  Development of plans from the data analysis of our collated information to help reduce the occurrence of both illegal activities and human /wildlife conflict.  Mitigating human-wildlife conflict with practical solutions  Sensitization, Education and Outreach: In the communities to achieve education, understanding and co-operation  Introducing methods of Income generation activity at grass root levels for affected communities.  Low impact eco tourism through a volunteer program and, on a small scale, international tourist and ex-pats visiting and staying at Thuma
