Description

The main mission of the Department of Environment is to ensure the management of the natural or artificial physical environment and the improvement of the living environment. It defines and proposes the elements necessary for the development of a coherent environmental policy. It leads, coordinates and operates studies, works, research and conferences on the protection and enhancement of natural areas and resources, as well as on the treatment of pollution, risks and nuisances.
