Description

PUC is a small, private, liberal-arts college located in the Napa Valley. The PUC Herbarium houses a collection of over 60,000 specimens. Plants collected from the western United States, predominantly from the California Floristic Province, are in the collection and represent 100 years of effort. A large number of specimens are from Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Napa, Siskiyou, and Trinity counties. The collection contains a wide variety of native and rare plant taxa including Arctostaphylos, Astragalus, Cryptantha, Cyperus, and Dudleya species.
