For conservation and sustainable use of marine bio-resources, mid- and long-term plans are formulated and updated and monitored on a regular basis by MABIK.Securing Marine Bio-Resources as National AssetsInternational conventions and agreements such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit Sharing (ABS) stress the importance of securing bio-resources as national assets. At MABIK, we are committed to securing and protecting our national rights to marine bio-resources found in the territorial waters of Korea. We will also provide the general public with high-quality, high value-added marine bio-resources as well as their information.
