The Centro de Estudios Conservacionistas,Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (CECON-USAC) holds three sets of institutional biological collections that represent a large proportion of Guatemala’s biodiversity. (1.) Jardín Botánico CECON-USAC, which includes three botanical collections: a. Colección Viva (living plant collection), b. Herbario USCG (herbarium collection), c. Index Seminum (seed collection). (2). Centro de Datos para la Conservación -CDC-CECON-, with observational and bibliographic data of Guatemalan flora, fauna, ecosystems and conservation areas. (3). Colección de Abejas Nativas de Guatemala, focused on the bee diversity of the country
