Built around experiences gained during a Global Collections Network Campaign piloted in Ecuador, this project seeks expand and strengthen an equitable, inclusive and engaged campaign to with the following goals:

  1. improvement of the diversity and representation within the collections and GBIF communities at-large regarding, e.g., gender, sociocultural context, geography, taxonomic expertise, professional role, etc., through networking, mentoring, training and regional events;
  2. increase of the number, coverage and density of high-quality records available through GRSciColl, and
  3. development of a campaign blueprint package including documentation of GRSciColl functionality as well as outreach and training materials in Spanish.

A team of two editors with national and/or taxonomic foci will identify and connect with collections and their staff. In collaboration, the editors and the collection staff will provide updated records in GRSciColl with an agreed upon set of minimal information on institutions, collections and staff.
