This Latin American project features both regional training in the form of a workshop and the development of a documentation toolkit in Spanish. The workshop will take place in Peru and will involve new relevant participants in the region. The focus of the workshop will be both basic data publishing and advanced publishing of sampling-event data. The available documents and training materials for data publishing will be translated and adapted for Latin America and the resulting training toolkit will be made available for the GBIF community.

The project will strengthen regional capacities for publishing sampling-event data and data quality assessment, and allow the the development of tools for the benefit of the global community, while reinforcing collaboration within the Latin American countries.
