The project contributes to the conservation of bird species in Benin by enhancing data available on the species. It is implemented by a team of three scientists with skills in biodiversity data mobilization and management, with support from the GBIF node in Benin.
At least 3,000 occurrence records of bird species from Benin will be published through GBIF.org, following training sessions on data publishing, ecological niche modelling, and mapping of key areas for bird conservation.
