National Institute of Genetics, ROIS

NIG is a member of Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS). It carries out research and development in genetics. It also provides infrastructures for life sciences and biotechnology, e.g. DNA Data Bank of Japan (DDBJ), the information center for the National Bioresource Project (NBRP), the DNA sequencing center and core centers of several types of biological resources.
