The 9th European GBIF Nodes Meeting takes place in Stockholm, between the 8th and 11th of May. The event is organized by GBIF Sweden and takes place at the host institution of the node, the Swedish Museum of Natural History. The meeting is open to all European GBIF participants.
The meeting serves as the annual platform for updating on existing and planned GBIF-related activities in Europe (including the formal revision of the European Nodes Work Plan) and a number of thematic discussions (Nodes portals, Event-based data, Sequence data, Data use).
Three side events will take place: one in-depth technical workshop on ALA-nodes portal implementation, which will run in parallel to the meeting, one guided tour in the National City Park of Stockholm will be on offer to early-birds interested in the biodiversity of semi-urban Stockholm (Tuesday May 9 at 6-8 AM), and an excursion to the coastline of the Baltic Proper at Simpnäs 120 km north of Stockholm (May 11, 9 AM-4 PM).
