The 31st Annual Meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) and 2016 SPNHC conference is organized by the Botanic Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, in parallel with the 2nd International Conference on Biodiversity Biobanking of the Global Genome Biodiversity Network.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Green Museum – How to practice what we preach?’, and the meeting of the society will evaluate green thinking in collections, museums and botanical gardens.
The course of the meeting will follow the SPNHC tradition with fieldtrips on Sunday and Monday, committee meetings and opening on Tuesday, themed sessions including posters, demo camps and side events from Wednesday through Friday and workshops on Saturday (with one scheduled for two days).
