As part of the BIFA project “Continued data mobilization of Vietnamese herbarium cryptogam collections” (Project ID BIFA4_055), this event is organized by the PHH Cryptogam Research Team to share and to build the capacity in data mobilization as well as to promote the GBIF for the research community in Viet Nam.

The scientific seminar (15 July 2019) aims to provide a brief introduction about the GBIF network and the current BIFA project on data mobilization bryophyte and lichen collections. The seminar will also discuss opportunities and challenges in Open Science, the current movement in scientific research; and some legal notes about accessing and benefit sharing the use of genetic resources to ensure the fair and equability for both partners, especially when open data is encouraged.
