Training Workshop on Biodiversity Data Discovery and Publishing in India

Even though enormous volume of primary biodiversity data is available with various agencies and institutions in India, biodiversity data discovery and publishing is in nascent stage. The motivation for this workshop is to develop pool of trainers in the area of biodiversity data discovery and publishing, especially metadata authoring. Another important objective is to train a selected group of technically capable people with extensive knowledge on the GBIF Integrated Publishing Toolkit (IPT), so they can become more involved in the development and deployment of the tool, acting as a distributed helpdesk network for the benefit of their stakeholders.
