The workshop was held to provide potential users of the BWMA with a background to using hunting records to support wildlife management and information about the projects efforts to process and publish data from archive materials in the University of Botswana's Okavango Research Institute.
Topics and activities included:
- Records and Data Management
- Using hunting records data to support wildlife management
- Introduction to GBIF and the IPT
- Digitizing and publishing biological data
Of the 30 attendees, participants included members of the project as well as potential data users and allowed for input and discussions about the collection and its data.
