This event is organized and driven by the BID Project "Mobilizing marine data from Colombia's Natural History Collections".
It is a basic course aimed at professionals dedicated to scientific research, mainly those interested in the use of data sets of biological records resulting from research activities or custody of biological collections. Participants will be introduced to the phases of the data science process with special emphasis on data visualization tools for research.
The course is 100% virtual and only in Spanish. The students will dedicate daily 2 hours for the live sessions, and 1 additional hour of their own time for reinforcing the learning through the exercises.
Although the course is mainly aimed at training professionals in Colombia, some places for Spanish speakers of Latin American countries will be granted.
