Armenian National Agrarian University, in cooperation with the international structure "Global Biodiversity Information Facility" GBIF, within the framework of the international CESP program Mentoring GBIF Armenia - GBIF France - CESP2021-010, with the support of “Management of natural resources and safeguarding of ecosystem services for sustainable rural development in the South Caucasus” ECOserve program commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ and implemented by the German International Cooperation GIZ, implements the "Biodiversity Data Digitization, Mobilization and Management in Armenia" initiative , within the framework of which, 4 two-days lectures and 4 field trips training courses for the capacity building on digitization of biodiversity data, according to the relevant sectors (academia, business, government and civil society), will take place between September 27 and October 12, 2022.
The aim of the course is to teach interested students, scientists, specialists, farmers, NGO representatives of the agrarian, environmental and biological fields of higher education the modern methods and skills of bio-digitalization of biodiversity data management and publication, such as IPT tools, Open refine program, INaturalist etc.
Minimum course requirements are basic knowledge of data management, strong interest in biodiversity data management, monitoring, and sustainable use.
The place of the course: Agritech Incubator auditorium of the 1st building of the ANAU. The training course will be in Armenian.
Time: 14:00-18:00 according to the relevant days (selected participants will be informed about the specific days of the course).

The participants will be granted with the certificates in case of active and full participation.
