This workshop aimed to provide training on good working practices in data mobilisation using the GBIF platform.
Organised on the 23rd of November 2017, training was given to 45 participants from backgrounds in biodiversity data handling. The content of the workshop focused on topics and aspects of the GBIF platform including:
- The GBIF network
- Data searching
- Collection and uses of data from the GBIF portal
- Good practices for data organisation
- Georeferencing
- Data quality and the publication process
