Organised by the European Commission, the European Development Days (EDD) bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
The title of this year’s event is "The Green Deal for a Sustainable Future".
The 16th June, 2021 at 16:10 to 16:55 GBIF will organize a Project lab session on Opening access to biodiversity data for development under the topic “Research, data and new technologies” . The session will present how BID projects in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific are contributing to filling knowledge gaps to support decision-making and scientific research, and how BID is developing regional capacity within biodiversity data management to empower local communities of practice.
