Niche partitioning of methanotrophs in stratified lakes

Dataset homepage

Citation

MGnify (2022). Niche partitioning of methanotrophs in stratified lakes. Sampling event dataset https://doi.org/10.15468/rcv3bs accessed via GBIF.org on 2025-06-16.

Description

A detailed sampling of the water column in proximity to the oxygen-methane interface of four stratified Swiss lakes was performed. Amplicon sequencing analysis of 16S rRNA and pmoA genes and 16S rRNA and pmoA transcripts was used to investigate the active methane-oxidizing bacteria inhabiting the oxygen-methane resource gradient.
