Description

The database includes finds of 23 rare plant species in the southern part of the Sinyukha River basin, that are included in the International Red List (Dianthus hipanica), Resolution 6 of the Bern Convention (Dianthus hipanica), the Red Book of Ukraine, lists of regionally rare plant species of Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv regions or are narrowly local endemics (Tulipa hypanica, Dianthus hypanica, Sedum boryssovae).

Sampling Description

Study Extent

The research was conducted in April-June 2021.

Sampling

We used reconnaissance and detailed route methods to survey the section of the Sinyukha river valley from the village of Kalamazovo (Vilshanskyj district, Kirovohrad region) to its confluence with the Southern Bug River in Pervomaisk (Mykolayiv region), as well as the valleys of its tributaries - Black Tashlyk, Small Tashlyk and Dry Tashlyk.

Quality Control

The author is fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

Method steps

  1. When locating a rare species, the plants were photographed and geolocated at a point using a GPS-navigator.
  2. The following scientists - Kuzemko A.A., Didukh J.P., Khodosovtsev O.E., Vinokurov D.S., Shiryaeva D.V., Shinder O.I., Pashkevich N.A., - took part in separate expeditions. Part of the expeditions was carried out with the support of the NGO "Ukrainian Environmental Protection Group" and with the assistance of the Buzk's Gard National Nature Park.
