Description

The database of Aves includes information about specimens which are preserved in the Zoological Collection MIZ. Material was collected worldwide, identified to species level. Database includes data on historical materials collected during the expeditions in 19th century, for example by Branicki, Dybowski, Kalinowski, Chrostowski, Sztolzman. Bird collection comprises also type material, extinct and endangered taxa. The collection preserves eggs, mounted specimens and skins.
