Begun in the mid-1960s, the Mammalogy Collection houses over 18,000 specimens and is the fourth largest in the state of Texas. Accredited by the American Society of Mammalogists in 1992, it has significant holdings from the Concho Valley and Edwards Plateau regions of west-central Texas, United States (31 states), Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, and most notably the Galapagos Islands.Sampling Description
