Fish of Ukraine in poaching gears

Study Extent

The database includes a list of fish species of Ukraine that were seized by fishing inspectors from poaching gears.

Sampling

The database was created by the computer program Microsoft Excel. The database was created using fish surveillance information on seized and recorded fish in poaching gears.

Quality Control

The authors are fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

Method steps

1. 1. Investigation of protocols on seizing of fish in poaching gears in different regions of Ukraine written by inspectors of local fishery partols.
2. 2. Georeferencing.
3. 3. Creation of dataset using Microsoft Excel.

The dataset consists of exclusively fish species (Actinopterigii).

Dataset includes fish species registered within entire territory of Ukraine: Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Khmel'nytsky, Ternopil, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
