The data come from a study carried out in 2017 to assess the post-implementation impact of the Leuze-en-Hainaut wind farm in Belgium on a nesting colony of lapwing (Vanellus vanellus). The wind farm was commissioned in December 2011 and comprises 10 turbines. This study was carried out on behalf of ENGIE by the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The study area corresponds to the perimeter of the wind farm, which is defined as the surface extending up to 500m from each wind turbine mast. It covers an area of 4.57km². In the data file, you'll find information on three Crested Lapwing life stages, listed in the "lifeStage" column: nests, chicks and adult pairs.Taxonomic Coverages
