Description

Occurrence data on butterfly species whose voucher specimens are preserved in the Zoology department, National Museums of Kenya is presented. This data provides baseline information on the distribution of butterfly species belonging to the insect order Lepidoptera, family Lycaenidae. The data set provides an insight into the butterfly species, making it available and usable for species distribution and ecology studies. Additionally this baseline data can be applied to diverse subjects like pollination, conservation, climate change and many more.
