The dataset presents occurrence records of invertebrates collected from the small coastal forest where the Gede Ruins are located and stored at the National Museums of Kenya. Specimens were collected using sweep netting, malaise traps, pan traps, and pitfall traps as part of a study of a section of the forest that was being restored. The published data is only a subset of the entire Gede ruins data comprising of hymenoptera (95), coleoptera (55), diptera (33) and hemiptera (1).Taxonomic Coverages
Geographic Coverages
Specimens were collected from within the 44.3 ha of coastal forest surrounding the Gede Ruins National Monument. The monument is on the edge of Gede town some 4.5 km from the coastline.
