Description

Sawflies (Hymenoptera, Symphyta) of the surroundings of Štúrovo (southern Slovakia). Material was collected by individual sweeping and hand sampling at six xerothermic, predominantly Pannonic grassland and scrub sites within three geomorphological units adjacent to the town of Štúrovo during 2023–2025. Additional material was obtained from Malaise traps installed at the foothills of the Burda Mountains near Kamenica nad Hronom in 2010 and 2019. In total, 173 sawfly species were recorded.
